ClipMind is built privacy-first. It runs entirely on your Mac. We designed it so there's nothing for us to collect.
What we collect
Nothing. ClipMind has no account system and sends no analytics or telemetry to us. Your clipboard history is stored only on your Mac.
Where your data lives
Your clipboard items, search index and settings are stored in a local database on your Mac. They are never uploaded to our servers, because we don't have servers that receive them.
AI processing
On-device AI (Apple Intelligence, local models) processes everything locally. If you choose to use a cloud AI provider with your own API key, only the specific text you run an action on is sent directly to that provider under their terms. Offline mode disables all cloud requests.
Sensitive data
Copies marked confidential by password managers are never captured. Card numbers, API keys and long digit runs are detected and masked automatically.
Updates
ClipMind checks for updates over a secure connection. This request contains only the information needed to deliver an update and is not used to track you.
